So long story short, I just got a Canon 400D.

"Lé gasp MSG, I didn't know you were into photography!"

Well, neither did I. Here's hoping this isn't a passing phase like all of my other hobbies (if you count 4 years using Maya a "phase"). But yeah, I decided to stop screwing around and start something I could actually finish, instead of just tooling around in Maya for hours on end just to abandon a project once the render preview time started to exceed five minutes. Discovering Global Illumination didn't help either.

I'll get back into it one of these days (at least I hope), perhaps I can use my new camera to create textures (which I've had a notorious lack of in the past).
